University of the Bundeswehr Munich, founded in 1973, is a public institution in Neubiberg, Germany, primarily established to provide officers and officer candidates of the German Armed Forces with a comprehensive scientific education. With approximately 3,500 students, it also admits civilian students under specific conditions, offering 17 bachelor's and 20 master's degree programs across ten faculties. The university operates on a trimester system, enabling students to complete a bachelor's degree in three years and a master's in four years, with all degrees state-recognised and equivalent to those of other German universities. It is internationally positioned, maintaining partnerships with over 70 renowned research universities and institutes worldwide, with a focus on Europe, the USA, and Latin America. The International Office facilitates tuition-free exchange programs, and about eight percent of students and researchers are from overseas.
