The University of Applied Sciences Bremen (HSB) is a public institution established in 1982, evolving from the merger of four specialized universities. It is the second-largest scientific institution in the state of Bremen, with approximately 8,800 students from over 100 nations enrolled in five faculties offering 70 study programs as of 2024. The university emphasizes practical application and international orientation, with many programs incorporating mandatory semesters abroad and internships. HSB maintains over 370 cooperation agreements with foreign universities, facilitating a global learning environment. The International Graduate Center (IGC), established in 2004, offers international full-time MBA and Master's programs in English.
