The Palucca University of Dance Dresden, founded in 1925 by Gret Palucca, is Germany's only independent university dedicated exclusively to dance. Located in Dresden, Saxony, the university offers a comprehensive education in dance, emphasizing the development of individual artistic personalities through a curriculum based on three pillars: classical dance, contemporary/modern dance, and improvisation. The university provides integrated secondary education, allowing students as young as ten to begin their dance training alongside general education.
