The Kirchliche Hochschule Wuppertal (KiHo Wuppertal) is a state-recognized church university located in Wuppertal-Barmen, Germany. Founded in 1935 on the initiative of Martin Niemöller and Karl Immer Sr., it served as a training center for theological students of the Confessing Church during the Nazi era. The university offers programs in Evangelical Theology, including degrees for pastoral ministry and the Master of Theological Studies. The campus features facilities such as lecture halls, a library, a chapel, student housing, a cafeteria, and a mensa, all situated in close proximity to foster a personal learning environment. As of the summer semester 2023, the university had 170 students and 38 staff members, including six professors. In February 2025, the synod decided to cease the university's operations by the end of March 2027.
