Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences (Hochschule Karlsruhe - HKA) is a public university located in Karlsruhe, Germany. Established in 1878, it is one of the largest universities of applied sciences in the state of Baden-Württemberg, with approximately 7,000 students. The university offers a wide range of Bachelor's and Master's programs across six faculties: Architecture and Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Information Technology, Computer Science and Business Information Systems, Information Management and Media, Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics, and Management Science and Engineering. HKA emphasizes practical education, integrating laboratory exercises, practical semesters, and final theses often completed in industry. The university maintains partnerships with around 180 institutions worldwide, facilitating student exchanges and international research projects. Notably, several programs are taught entirely in English, including the Bachelor's program in Electrical Engineering and Information Technology and Master's programs in Sensor Systems Technology and Tricontinental Master in Global Studies.
