The Hessische Hochschule für öffentliches Management und Sicherheit (HöMS) is a public university of applied sciences in Hesse, Germany. Established on January 1, 2022, through the merger of the Hessian University for Police and Administration (HfPV), the Hessian Police Academy (HPA), and the Central Training Hesse (ZFH), it serves as the central educational institution for training, further education, recruitment, and police psychological services in Hesse. The HöMS offers degree programs in police and public administration across four campuses in Wiesbaden, Kassel, Mühlheim am Main, and Gießen, with its main campus in Wiesbaden. It currently educates around 3,640 students, with 1,180 in public administration and 2,460 in police studies. The university provides practice-oriented education with close ties to professional practice, offering bachelor’s programs in areas such as protective policing, criminal policing, public administration, and digital administration, as well as a part-time master’s program in Public Management.
