About CVJM University

CVJM University, also known as the YMCA University of Applied Sciences, is a private, state-recognized institution located in Kassel, Germany. Founded on March 27, 2009, it is affiliated with the Christlicher Verein Junger Menschen (CVJM) Deutschland, part of the global YMCA network. The university offers bachelor's and master's programs primarily in social work, theology, and related fields, focusing on integrating theoretical knowledge with practical skills. With a student body of approximately 503 as of the summer semester 2023, CVJM University fosters a close-knit learning and living community that encourages personal and spiritual development. Campus life is enriched by student-organized sports and leisure groups, as well as regular devotions and worship services.
